Father's Day Crafts: A Special DIY Gift with Paper

Father's Day, celebrated on March 19, is a special occasion to suffer affection with a handmade gift.

Paper games and crafts for Father's Day are a creative way to spend quality time with children, stimulating imagination and manual skills.

Today we propose a simple and fun activity: a special message that extends and reveals all our love!

Why choose a DIY craft for Father's Day?

Making a paper craft has many advantages! Not only is it an economical and sustainable activity, but it also allows the little ones to express their creativity and personalize every detail. In addition, a handmade gift always has a special value because it transmits sincere emotions.

How to make a paper craft for Father's Day:

For this paper game, you will need:

  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • A notebook (obviously BM 😉).
  • We also made a video tutorial: watch our video on Youtube!

Procedure

  • Draw the hands: Ask your child to place their hands on a piece of cardboard and trace their outline with a pencil. Then, carefully cut them out.
  • Prepare the message: Take a sheet of paper from the center of the notebook and cut out a long, narrow strip.
  • Write the dedication: On the sheet of paper, write together "I love you so much like this" using colored and imaginatively decorated letters.
  • Fold the sheet of paper: Make accordion folds back and forth until the strip is reduced to a small rectangle.
  • Assemble the craft: Glue the ends of the strip onto the two cut-out hands, positioning them with the thumbs facing outwards.
  • Personalize the cover: Write "For my dad" on the back of the hands and add decorations as desired.
  • Finish the gift: Close your hands and when dad opens them, he will see the surprise of the message that grows.

Ideas to personalize the craft

To make the craft even more special, you can:

  • Use colored or glitter paper for a more lively effect.
  • Add small stickers or drawings to decorate the hands.
  • Write a letter separately, adding anecdotes or reasons why dad is special.
  • Use scented sheets or colored ink for an original touch.
