DIY Easter Paper Craft

Easter 2025 is coming! This year it is celebrated on April 20 and 21, and if you are looking for a creative idea to entertain your children, we have the perfect game for you.

With a few materials and a lot of imagination, you can make a cute DIY paper bunny, also perfect as a small chocolate box.

Easter fun facts

Easter is a holiday full of traditions, and in many countries they make themed decorations and crafts.

Easter bunnies symbolize rebirth and spring, making them perfect protagonists of games and creative activities for the little ones.

 You will need:

  • A notebook
  • Scissors
  • Markers
  • Pencil

How to make a paper bunny

  1. Prepare the sheet: take a sheet of notebook paper and cut it until you get a square shape. To do this, fold one corner of the sheet until it overlaps the opposite side, creating a triangle, and then cut off the excess part.
  2. Fold the sheet: now, take the square and fold it in half to form a triangle. Make sure the edges are well aligned to obtain a precise result.
  3. Draw the outline of the bunny: take a pencil and start drawing half a bunny along the folded edge of the triangle. Start from the ears and go down the body until you extend one of the legs. The leg must be very long because it will be essential to close the box, and you need to draw the small circle inside the leg. If you have any doubts about this step, watch our video tutorial on YouTube
  4. Cut out the shape: carefully, follow the outline you drew and cut out the shape. Remember to also cut out the small hole for the paw, which will be used to close the bunny.
  5. Decorate the bunny: it's time to bring your little craft to life! Take the markers and draw the eyes, nose and mouth. By colouring the ears with bright colours and adding small details like whiskers, you will make your bunny even cuter and more original.
  6. Close the bunny: open the cut out shape and you will notice that you have two rabbit heads, one above and one below. Fold the ears and insert them into the hole you cut out in the paw. This way, you will get a small closed box that you can use to contain small sweets or chocolate eggs!
  7. Turn your bunny over and fold the sides.

Variations of the craft

  • Giant bunny: make the same shape on a larger sheet of paper to decorate your home or bedroom.
